Koh Paulo Wai, and related islands in Kien Giang Province, Vietnam, Gulf of Thailand
Updated August 19, 2024
In the Gulf of Thailand, this pair of islands is 62 miles from Cambodia and has beautiful fishing and water sports, location: 9°56'11"N 102°54'26"E. These islands are called Koh Paulo Wai. They appear very green and lush, with sandy beaches and limited roads, mostly around the outside of the island. There are a few buildings on the islands which make us think of National Park facilities, with some larger buildings. The Western island shows more habitation and has a road along the outside of the island. The Eastern island is mostly lush tree-scapes, grass, and a hand-full of buildings.
The Western island looks to be mostly forest, with a few habitations for fishing or forestry. The Eastern Island is also very lush with beautiful beaches. We also see a clearing in the center of the island with what looks like a dirt runway airstrip that ends in trees and a road with an overall length of 0.33 miles.

There are other Cambodian islands such as Kaoh Tang and Kaoh Muoy which have the look of natural forests, and reefs nearby. These are 99.5 miles SSW of Ha Tien, the coastal border between Cambodia and Vietnam.
We accidentally stumbled upon a beautiful, aerial view of an island between Koh Paulo Wai and Vietnam that is part of Vietnam.
The province is Kien Giang, Vietnam, located in the Mekong Delta region of South Vietnam. This photo was taken April 2019.

And for a third and final photo on the same day. April 29, 2019. The photographer may have posted these on Pexel to gain exposure.
