A collection of approximately 24 islands West of the coast of Taiwan and East of Mainland China in the Taiwan strait, 27 miles west of Chiayi County and 125 miles east of mainland China Dongshan Harbour. They are in Penghu County, Taiwan. The main group of islands, labeled Magong and Huxi, are well developed with an established airport and a secondary airport on the main island. Six are labeled in Google Earth as Baisha, Huxi, Magong, Xiyu, Wang’an, and Qimei.

The location of the developed islands of Huxi and Magong is: 23°29'04"N 119°41’29”E. Satellite imagery: 6/6/2023.That main island has bridges connecting to most of the nearby islands, and we see leisure, marine biology, and recreational facilities, including the Qingwan lovers’ Beach.
The main island grouping contains various islands, and stretches 11.75 miles long from North to South, and 14.4 miles from West to East. The main island is well developed with schools and dense residential development on the West side. There are numerous docking and port facilities. In the waterways of that main island we see continued reclamation efforts in the interior.

The primary runway is 1.88 miles. In the primary airport, there are at least eight places to park aircraft at the north end of the airfield and four hangars at the south end.
The secondary airport runway is 1.24 miles long. At the secondary airport, we see three jets parked on the tarmac in this satellite imagery. At the North end of the secondary airport we see mobile artillery units.
